Julie earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of New England and a Bachelor in Science in Biology from the University of Washington. She grew up competing nationally in TaeKwonDo which sparked her interest in sports medicine, eventually finding her passion in physical therapy. Prior to starting graduate school she worked as a massage therapist in Seattle and taught yoga. She found Crossfit in 2015 where she fell in love with the sport. Her past athletic and professional experiences have developed her professional interest in working with active individuals with pelvic floor and orthopedic concerns. She draws from her background and evidence based practice to provide an individualized plan incorporating manual therapy and progressive exercise to help patients reach their goals. One of her biggest passions is working with women to safely stay active throughout pregnancy and return to their daily activities and athletic endeavors post-partum.

Outside of the clinic Julie spends her time doing CrossFit, exploring vegan food options in the Portland area, enjoying small roastery coffee, and spending time with her husband, Chris, and their dogs Cider and Jemma.
