The movement standards of dance are challenging and physically demanding, whether it is ballet/pointe, jazz, contemporary, or any other style. At Dirigo Physical Therapy and Performance, we understand and have professional knowledge and experience of the strength, flexibility, and endurance requirements that are unique to the dance world. Our dance assessment will help dancers of all levels who are either working their way through an injury or seeking injury prevention identify areas of weakness to optimize their performance both on stage and in the classroom.
In your dance assessment, we will look at and analyze:

Hip, knee, and ankle strength
Movements specific to your form of dance, which may include,
Balance/stability

Using this information, we will work together to devise a customized and individualized plan to assist you in achieving your goals.
